CUCM Board of Directors
CUCM's board of directors is a policy-making, supervisory, governing body charged with the overall responsibility of ensuring that CUCM is effectively managed for the long-term benefit of credit unions.
Eight directors, elected by the delegates from credit union peer groups, make up CUCM's board. Directors serve a three-year term, with elections conducted on a rotational basis to ensure continuity.
Director responsibilities include:
Establishing the mission of CUCM, consistent with and complimentary to that of the Manitoba credit union system.
Establishing the objectives, performance targets and operating policies of CUCM.
Hiring, compensating, and evaluating a qualified President & Chief Executive Officer.
Ensuring adequate financial structure, policy and performance of CUCM, including budget preparation, review and approval.
Ensuring that services provided by CUCM meet the needs of member credit unions.
Providing leadership in planning for the future needs and direction of credit unions.
The board of directors is accountable to members of CUCM for performance in achieving CUCM's vision, mission and services principles.
