Manitoba’s Credit Unions Order of Merit
The Award
The Manitoba Credit Unions Order of Merit Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to the Manitoba credit union system, whether as employees or elected officials. In addition to the honour of being selected, recipients receive a $2,000 bursary to be presented to a student from a secondary or post-secondary educational institution of the inductee’s choosing.
Those selected have a record of exemplary service to the Manitoba credit union system and have made tangible contributions to:
The development, governance, or operation of credit unions and the Manitoba system
Demonstrated leadership in the preservation and extension of the philosophy of people helping people
Demonstrated an understanding of, and commitment to, the cooperative principles
Have engaged in additional public service that reflects favourably on credit unions at the local and provincial level
